Continuous Inkjet Printers- a suitable solution for different needs

The use of printers for both home and office has been increased in the past few years due to the increased demand of having permanent records and documents of information. Printers can be used to print various types of information and data in offices, homes and industries. With the increased demand of printing, many technologies have been invented for manufacturing printers for various purposes. The most common type of printers which is finding application in many areas is the inkjet printer. These are the most widely used printers due to the following qualities:
- Low cost
- High quality results
- Ability to print various complex texts and pictures
- Fast operation
- Simplicity of usage

Continuous inkjet printers are a type of inkjet printers which were originally developed for large volumes of printing. That is why they are the first preference for commercial use. However they are also preferred to be purchased for home and office usage. The coding and marking process in the industries is very complex and uses either contact type or non- contact type printing machines. These printers are the best ones for the non- contact type of printing. Such operation of this type of printers enhances their durability and long term usage. These are well suited for printing various types of data in different formats.

The basic technology followed by these printers to print involves a continuous flow of the printer ink, thus the name continuous ink jet printers. Thus special kind of ink is used in them which has the ability to avoid drying for long intervals of time. Since they were first manufactured, these printers have undergone a constant phase of improvement in terms of technology. The operation of these printers is now more clean and effortless. There is no need of constantly watching the availability of ink in the cartridges and filling them is easier which takes just unscrewing the lid of the ink container, letting the ink fill into the cartridge and then securing the lid again.

Continuous inkjet printers involve a continuous circulation of the printer ink inside their body from the ink cylinder, through the print head, into the nozzle and finally on the medium to be printed in the form of small ink droplets which make the required print. So the ink may dry inside making it necessary to replace the cartridges sooner and to do regular cleaning of the printer. Due to this, a special kind of ink called the CIJ ink is being applied in these printers. This is a slow drying ink and to maintain its viscosity, a solvent is regularly added to it. The amount of the solvent that must be added to it is decided by the automatic control system which is present inside the printer.

The industrial printing is a complex process and requires printing of different kinds of text, diagrams, logos and graphics. But if you are using a continuous inkjet printer, you don't have to worry about it as it is able to print all such kinds of text. The probability of their getting stuck is, however, very less, yet if due to some reason they stop working properly, it is very inexpensive to get them working again.
