If players want to level up fast in the game, this article worth reading here, for it will tell players the best farming class and professions in GW2. It all depends on what you want to farm. For a good selection of generic farming areas, probably a 55 monk or necro, a 330 Rit, or a shadow form/terra tank ele. For bosses, I've heard assassins and rangers are good. I think I saw a rit boss farming thread a while back too. I don't do much boss farming, so someone else will have to fill you in.
I figure the warrior (although the classic 55 monk has alot of places) because it seems like it can farm in a bunch of places where enchantment hate can run, but then so could a ranger I guess.
Warrior. Warriors should be one of the best farming class and professions in GW2 for which are masters of weaponry who rely on speed, strength, toughness, and heavy armor to survive in battle. Adrenaline fuels their offensive power—the longer warriors stay in a fight, the more dangerous they become.
Engineer. Masters of mechanical mayhem, engineers love to tinker with explosives, elixirs, and all manner of hazardous gadgets. They can take control of an area by placing turrets, support their allies with alchemic weaponry, or lay waste to foes with a wide array of mines, bombs, and grenades.
GW2 is a full MMORPG with an open, persistent world. Very few things are instanced... only your personal story and the dungeons. You can solo your personal story, but dungeons are actually quite challenging 5-man instances, and I given their complexity I very much doubt that anyone would be able to solo them. Most of the open world content can be solo-ed as it scales to the number of players participating, but even there you will run into large-scale dynamic events that require a minimum number of players (like 10) to be able to succeed.
There is a secret on Rangers farming, knowing it players can farm tons of GW2 gold in the game, GW2fast.com has listed the details there. In short, I would suggest playing through the chapters at least once to unlock hard mode. Then I'd browse the profession's forum for that character and see what builds can farm, and where. Then, if you really want a "farm only" character, maybe go monk, necro, rit, or ele.
